We look forward to keeping our supporters up to date with everything that is going on at the Machado Jiu-Jitsu Academy in Dallas, Texas, and also some of the cool stuff going on with all the Machado Brothers (in addition to Carlos, Roger, Rigan, Jean Jacques and John). So below here goes: - CARLOS MACHADO ASSOCIATION WELCOMES REPRESENTATIVE DAVID HURLEY, FROM LAKELAND, FLORIDA! Carlos Machado Association Welcomes BJJ Black Belt Mr. David Hurley (Lakeland BJJ Academy, in Lakeland, Florida, as one of the newest members of its affiliate program. Carlos Machado is excited with the prospects of assisting Mr. Hurley in promoting the highest quality training in BJJ in the sunshine State. Mr. Hurley also covers mixed martial arts in addition to his Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu program in his fully equipped facility. Mr. Hurley is the first and only authorized official representative of Carlos Machado in the Lakeland area. To all students and brazilian jiu-jitsu practitioners nationwide, please be advised to make your registration early enough to secure a spot at the Five Machado Brothers Camp (4 days in October 2nd, 3rd, 4th and 5th), since the mat space will be limited. The camp will be held at Mr. Ray Thompson's Upstate Karate School, in Greenville, South Carolina (please see link at www.upstatekarate.com). Instructors of any school who bring five students will have free admission. For every five students, the next comes for free. The Machado Camp will not be limited to Machado students only. Everyone who loves and trains brazilian jiu-jitsu will be welcomed. - CARLOS MACHADO OKLAHOMA SEMINAR ON SAT. JULY 26TH! Carlos Machado will be visiting representative Joel Walker at High Plains Jiu-Jitsu (3074 N Portland Ave,Oklahoma City, OK 73107, (405) 949-1080) this coming weekend on Saturday. There will be two sessions, the first from 10:30am to 12:30pm, and the second one from 1:30pm to 3:30pm. Each session will cover different materials. Early registration is recommended, since space will be limited. For students who also want to take private classes, Mr. Machado will be in town on Friday, July 25th, availabe for classes between 5 and 8pm on Friday. These classes are designed to assist new students to break the ice, learn techniques and the rules at our academy prior to joining our regular group classes. Our schedule for the Orientation Classes take place every night at 6pm from Monday - Thursday, and also Saturdays at 10am.
